Best month of June ever for Subaru sales in Canada

Last month was the best June on record for Subaru Canada which saw sales increase by 10.7 percent (4,795 units sold in total).

Subaru announced earlier this month that it had so far sold 23,915 vehicles this year in Canada, keeping the pace for what should be a fifth consecutive annual sales record for the Japanese automaker. “Subaru Canada is focused on keeping its momentum strong,” says Shiro Ohta, chairman, president and CEO of Subaru Canada, Inc. “Updated and refreshed product is rolling into our Subaru dealerships nationwide and we will see exciting new product well into the fall, which will result in a continued upswing in Subaru’s sales during the second half of the year.”

Subaru sold 366 units of the powerful Subaru WRX STI last month, a 54.4 percent increase compared to the same month last year. The Outback also did very well. Its 1,152 units sold represent a 37 percent increase in sales. The Crosstrek continued its momentum with 886 units sold in June, a 17.8 percent increase in sales. Finally, the Subaru Forester continued to be Subaru’s best-selling model with 1,268 units registered last month.
