For 2018, the Subaru Outback has new features inside and outside, as well as more equipment than ever before. The 2018 Outback is offered in seven trims, starting with the Outback 2.5i, 2.5i Touring, 2.5i Limited and 2.5i Premier with the EyeSight Package. For more power, the 3.6R Touring, 3.6R Limited (available with an optional EyeSight Package) and the 3.6R Premier with the EyeSight Package, completing the lineup in upper level trims.

Rugged looks for the 2018 Subaru Outback

The 2018 Subaru Outback stands out this year with a completely revised front fascia that includes a modified front grille and front bumper. This look is also applied on the side with redesigned rear-view mirrors, and a new rear bumper. Buyers who opt for the 3.6R Limited trim will benefit from LED steering-responsive headlights that are ideal for long night drives, as well as a unique 18 inch alloy wheel design.

Under the hood, the 2018 Subaru Outback offers the best in terms of mechanical components. The Outback’s four cylinder 2.5i engine is mated to a new 7-speed CVT transmission equipped with a manual mode. This engine offers great performance, with 175 hp and 174 lb-ft of peak torque. Moreover, the 2.5i models are now PZEV-rated and offer great fuel economy. Drivers looking for a more spirited drive may opt for the more powerful six cylinder 3.6 engine that offers an output of 256 hp and 247 lb-ft of torque, 90% of which is available between 2,000-6,000 rpm for exceptional response at all vehicle speeds. Braking on the 2018 Subaru Outback has also been enhanced thanks to a new, redesigned brake booster.

Convenient and technological interior in the new 2018 Subaru Outback

Inside, the 2018 Outback is comfortable, and has plenty more equipment and commodities than before. Dual USB slots for rear passengers and a powerful 6.5-inch infotainment system, equipped with standard Apple CarPlay and Android Auto comes standard. The Outback 2.5i Touring trim has a revised centre vent grille, centre panel, air conditioning panel, as well as a new instrument panel. Opting for the Touring trim models will get you an 8.0-inch infotainment system, which comes with GPS navigation on the Limited and Premier trims.
